Coach & Chartered Psychologist with 20 years experience of teaching psychology

Hi. I'm glad you're here!

If you're a coaching psychologist, or aspiring to be one, then you're in the right place. I've developed the School of Coaching Psychology to provide support and training to promote and support a more psychologically informed coaching profession. The programmes and services we provide are designed to support your professional development in coaching psychology, and to translate psychological knowledge in to practise.

I started out as a Sport and Exercise Psychologist, and I can honestly say that there's nothing that I learnt in my training that I haven't applied in my coaching in some way or another. My training as a psychologist allows me to understand how people think, feel and behave, and this opens up a whole new world in terms of asking the right questions, helping clients to gain clarity and insight, exploring options and supporting action.

Over the last 4 years, I've been working with the British Psychological Society to successfully establish the Division of Coaching Psychology which was launched on 1st November 2021. This included being contracted to write the standards for chartered coaching psychologists, and developing the guidelines and assessment for the professional recognition route. I've also just been appointed as the Chief Assessor for this route.

I've drawn on my experience and knowledge as a Chartered Psychologist and coach, as well as 20 years experience in learning and teaching to develop these programmes. I can't wait to share them with you!
